Fall Trend: Leather Panel Leggings

If leggings were not in trend I'm not sure what I would do because when fall and winter rolls around, I always find myself in comfy leggings. They are so easy to pair with my chunky sweaters, high boots, lose fitting blouses, flats, crop jackets and everything in-between. I've been seeing leggings with leather patches worn all around my school, and I am in desperate need of a pair. They add a sleek look and an create an edgy feel to traditional leggings. These are definitely going on my fall/winter season must have list! What do you think about these leather panel leggings? My favorites are BCBG and ASOS. I love the block leather patches and the leather strip down the side.

How goregous is Kate Spade's RTW Spring 2013 collection? The retro inspired pieces feel fresh, flirty, and ladylike. Kate Spade mixed neon and pastel colors in 50's silhouettes to create a special feel to the collection. These are such playful looks, and I adore all the pretty details, especially the bows!

Jason Wu's Spring 2013 RTW collection deffinitley caught my attention by being so unexpected. The designer is best known for dressing Michelle Obama for the Inauguration Ball, but showed a completely captivating and surprising collection. He used mostly nude and blacks with special details such as leather harnesses, black veils, and dark red lipstick. I really liked this collection as it feels really raw and edgy, but also very feminine. The dark and neutral colors makes it feel like fall, but with the sheer fabrics, flower cuts, and soft flowing materials mixed with structured pieces, it makes this collection original. It will definitely make a statement in the spring.

Transition Your Summer Outfits For Fall

Although it's still summer for a few more weeks, I have already seen some leaves beginning to turn yellow and orange. The weather has also become much colder in the mornings and at nights, but still hot during the day. This can make getting dressed more difficult during this time of year. I still want to wear my summer pieces, but find myself needing a few extra layers to stay warm. I came across this picture below and thought it was a perfect way to continue wearing your favorite summer items, and still be warm by adding fall like layers.  I love the softness and summery feel to the soft pink colored maxi skirt and white top. By adding nude booties, and a chunky knit sweater, you can easily transition your summer look to be wearable in the fall.

Shop for Fashion's Night Out

Fashion's Night Out is only 4 days away! Fashion's Night Out was created in 2009 to celebrate the fashion industry, put fun back in shopping, and mark the start of New York Fashion Week. FNO officially starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 6th. The great thing about Fashion's Night Out is that it isn't only located in New York but across the world. There are so many events held that allow retailers, designers, and shoppers to participate in this amazing night. Check out the FNO website to plan your night and see what events are being held where you live.

You can also shop Fashion's Night Out clothing collection which supports the New York City AIDS Fund in the Community Trust (NYCAF). Not only are the shirts affordable and cute, but FNO will donate 40% of all proceeds to NYCAF.
