Bird Print Romper

Romper Collective Concepts (similar) , Belt Linea Pelle, Sandals Marshalls, Bag Urban Outfitters, Bracelets BCBG, Sunglasses RayBan

My recent post on rompers really inspired me to wear one. I have always been skeptical to wear rompers because of the attached shorts, which can sometimes not fit or look right. However, finding one that fits your body perfectly, where the shorts don't ride up or are too low is key. I love the bird print design on this romper.  I kept everything else very simple to not distract from the print. I added a belt to help break up the top and bottom. I used a skinny belt, although a thicker belt would also work great!

Flower Inspiration has been appearing as a favorite on Resort Fall 13/14 runaways. I love the carefree bohemian vibe, with intricate and detailed floral prints. This is a perfect look for fun summer festivals as well as a great transition from summer to fall style.

Vintage DKNY

Top Forever 21, Maxi Skirt Vintage DKNY (similar), Mini Skirt H&M, Belt Target, Shoes Aldo, Bag Urban Outfitters (similar), Watch Michael Kors, Bracelet BCBG

A few months ago I was going through my mom's closet and came across her DKNY sheer maxi skirt from about 20 years ago. I am so happy she decided to give me this skirt because I'm obsessed with it!! I love how fashion trends are always recycled, and this high-low maxi skirt is definitely a popular style this summer. Since the skirt is very sheer and can't be worn alone, I added a basic mini skirt from H&M underneath. I love how the skirt flows when you walk. This is such a fun summer style and the light fabric of the skirt makes wearing a maxi skirt bearable, especially in the summer heat.

Lets Go To The Beach

Beach Essentials

To go along with yesterday's travel essentials, today I'm sharing some of my beach essentials for my trip to Florida. These are definitely must have items for any beach trip. They will keep you the most stylish person at the beach with all the fun colors and patterns!

I'm currently loving fringe bikini's. Victoria's Secret has this style shown above, as well as this one here, in a bunch of pretty colors.  This cover up is also perfect for throwing over your bikini. Another one of my essentials is these really fun hair ties. They keep your hair up without creating a dent or pulling our your hair, which is so important when dealing with messy beach hair. They also come in so many colors! The beach chair is also another one of my favorite items. How adorable is the print?

Travel Essentials

Travel Bag

I'm leaving for a family trip to Florida at the end of this week, so I thought it would be appropriate to share some of my essential travel bag items. The plane ride from New York to West Palm Beach is about 3 hours, so I don't need to carry much to be comfortable, but just enough to keep me entertained.

The first item is my TokyoMilk hand cream. I am absolutely in love with this hand cream. My dad bought this for my on my birthday last year, and I have been obsessed with it ever since. Not only does it come in the most beautiful packaging (which I have kept on display in my room), but it has the most amazing scent. This one is in French Kiss, which has a very soft floral smell.

The next item I keep in my bag is Trident gum. I definitely don't like having my ears popping, and this always helps prevent that. The Evian bottle is another great item to keep in your bag when traveling. This is a nice refreshing and hydrating mist. It helps revive your makeup throughout the day, and will make you look fresh even when traveling all day.

One of my must have items is always a good book and magazines. I'm looking forward to reading Revenge Wears Prada. Also another essential is headphones or ear buds. I thought these colorful Vera Bradley ones were really cute. Heading to Florida, it is extremely important to have sunnies to protect my eyes. These Marc Jacob ones have a fun print and have 100% UV protection!

Whether I'm traveling or not, I always have hand sanitizer and Rosebud Salve in my bag.  My last travel essential is a great sturdy bag to hold everything in! This Longchamp bag is perfect for that. The bag is water resistant with leather straps, but the best part is when your done using your bag, you can fold it up to half its size which makes it excellent for storing when its not being used.

Daisy Skirt

Top and Skirt Urban Outfitters, Bag Brahmin, Shoes BCBG (similar here)

I posted a picture of this outfit a few weeks back here, and I was so excited to finally wear it. When I came across this skirt at Urban Outfitters, I knew I just had to have it. The skirt has a nude liner under the sheer overlay with the daisy floral embroidery. One of my favorite aspects to the skirt is the faux leather waistband. I like that it adds a little edgy and tougher feel to a very girly skirt. I paired it with this basic sheer black top that I also picked up at Urban Outfitters.  It's hard to tell from the photos, but this top has a pretty lace detailing in the front along with a tie. I then added very simple accessories with my favorite structured bag and nude wedge pumps.
