The wait is almost over! In one month Jason Wu's collection for Target will be available in stores. He calls his designs "gamine chic", which i think is a perfect description for his collection. The preview shows girly prints, sailor stripes, and pleated skirts. Jason Wu has definitely stood out to me since he designed Michelle Obama's gorgeous inaugural gown. I'm eager to see the rest of his collection!

As 2012 begins, color trends are on the watch. The past spring and pre-fall 2012 seasons showed many powerful colors and effortless designs! Comfort will also been key for the 2012 year. We will see many garments in retro and soft hues that I am excited to try this year. Last weekend my dad and I were visiting my sister in Washington D.C, where we went shopping around Georgetown. I love this area because there are so many great shops and restaurants. We came across these cute shearling booties at H&M and knew we just had to have them! I love that they are lace up boots with shearling lining around the ankle, making it super comfortable. These booties are great with both leggings and skinny jeans. I'm so excited about all the different ways I can wear them this winter!

New Years Eve is just a few days away, and I cannot believe how fast 2011 went by! I created a fun New Years Eve outfit that is a little different from what you might usually wear. Instead of a little black dress or sequins, I thought a mini white dress would stand out more. Since the dress is so special, I kept all the accessories simple to not interfere. Hoop earrings and a cute cocktail ring are elegant, and add sparkle in a subtle way. I wanted to add some color to the outfit, which is why I thought Brian Atwood's hot pink pumps would be perfect!

Having a "Go to Everyday Bag", in a great color is so important, because who wants to change bags every day to coordinate with each outfit? I know I don't! A neutral color, such as camel, is perfect for every day use. Camel works well with all colors, and creates a sophisticated and classic look. I have put together higher priced bags with similar bags that are priced more reasonably. What do you think?

Get ready for pastels! I'm currently loving Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, which captures two women in an ice cream parlour. I love the pastel pink and retro vibe, which makes the ad sweet and feminine. The ad was captured by Steven Meisel and includes Marc Jacobs' designs. The models are wearing ladylike dresses with lace, flowers, and other delicate embellishments, all perfect for spring!
