The luxury retailer Barneys, is teaming up with Lady Gaga for a holiday special called Gaga's Workshop. Barneys will create a Santa's workshop through Gaga's eyes. There will special edition Gaga themed products, as well as many of Lady Gaga's holiday favorites including, chocolate Christmas ornaments, Gaga snow globes, makeup, claw stockings, and more! I think this Gaga Workshop sounds really unique and amazing, but to make it even better, 25 percent of all sales will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation to help promote equality through anti-bullying, self confidence, mentoring, and career development for children. The Workshop will be released November 21st, but until then check out Barneys website here for updates on Gaga's Workshop! Each day a new item is released, I can't wait to see what crazy item will be next!

I recently came across this amazing video for Chanel's Nail Polish; Le Vernis, featuring new shades Dragon, Black Pearl, Inattendu, Particuliere, and Orange Frizz. I love all of Chanel's nail polishes, especial their fall shades. Chanel, in the past, has made creative videos to show their new products. This is such unique, and cute video with all the dancing fingers! What a great idea to preview new nail polish colors. I want to go buy them all! Check out the video and let me know what you think...
A few weeks ago, the Versace for H&M lookbook was published for the soon release date, later this month. Versace is known for bright colors, exotic prints, and crazy details. This collaboration with H&M is no different, with studded dresses, colorful floral patters, and leather jackets. I came across this lookbook on Fashionologie.com, which shows many items from her woman's and men's collections, in an easy to view layout. Another view at the collection can be found at H&M's website. This is such a creative way to view the collection before it reaches stores.
I love all the fun colors and embellishments! I can't wait to shop the collection.
What do you think of Versace's collection for H&M?
All year long designers have trunk shows to sell and show off their new merchandise for customers, buyers, magazine editors, and more. Designers will be able to get feedback directly from their consumers. Many trunk shows are held in a fun and entertaining environment with music, cool lighting, drinks, appetizers, and more. This Alexander McQueen video really shows what it is like to attend a fashion trunk show. Merchandise is displayed on shelves, racks, and even a small fashion runway is set up to model the new line for a small gathering of people. The show featured accessories from shoes to handbags, and many original unique dress designs.
Recently, designers have also been doing virtual trunk shows where you do not need a special invite to attend. Designers such as Donna Karan and Salvatore Ferragamo have started online trunk shows to show off their new collections. Virtual trunk shows provide special videos of each garment and a option to pre-order the merchandise before it's available to the public. Check out Salvatore Ferragamo trunk show or read more about Donna Karan’s trunk show for Neiman Marcus.
The Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show was one of the most unique fashion shows I have ever seen. It just proves there is so much more to fashion shows than just modeling new designs. This video instantly had me wishing I could have been there to watch it live! I loved how it was not your traditional "cat walk" and had models walking in all different directions. The all white design with white apparel was so crisp and clean. It looks almost like a winter wonderland. You can tell a lot of work went into creating this show. I think Chanel went above and beyond, and set high standards for fashion shows to come!
When fall approaches we begin to put away our fun bright colored clothing for more dark neutral colors such as brown, black, and grey. Just because the weather is getting colder does not mean we have to stop wearing fun colors! Electric blue is a great color for fall 2012 and its different from the usual red, green, or orange colors we see in fall. Many celebrities have already starting bringing back this exciting color!
Here are some ways to add electric blue to any outfit...

Breast Cancer Awareness month is here, and there are so many ways to get involved and help donate. One of my favorite and easiest ways to help out is to SHOP! There are many designers and stores that are offering products where a percentage of the proceeds are being donated to breast cancer. Here are a few of my favorite items that are supporting the cause.

Donatella Versace Spring 2012 collection was filled with gorgeous dresses and suits. I loved how she had starfish and seahorse images printed on the garments in gold studs. The gold studs are also a perfect complement to the pale pastel colors. This article from NYTimes by Cathy Horyn describes the collection perfectly.
"A nice aqua glow bathed the stone walls of the Versace headquarters on Via Gesu, formerly the palazzo home of Gianni Versace. The runway was a white glassy streak and the first models — Lindsey, Nyasha, Abbey Lee — came out with bouncy curls and pure white outfits tipped in pale sea prints.
This was a Versace command performance, very far from the humdrum of Milan’s flapper girls and hot-rod prints. Donatella Versace seemed to have four ideas: the snappy suit with shorts, the mini gladiator dress with a constellation of gold studs, the mini goddess dress or suit with pleated panels and the many-hued goddess dress for big grown-up girls.
But that was a large enough porthole for Ms. Versace to tell her undersea story of mermaids, shells and starfish swimming against a stark white background, or perhaps pale green or a jolt of black. The makeup and hair were impeccable, the platform sandals in clear plastic. Ms. Versace made the studs and the delicate sea creatures seem more like tattoos than decoration, with everything light and sophisticated."

Lace dresses have been worn all summer long, but now with the fall season approaching, lace dresses are still making a statement as a must have fall piece. Lace dresses are so easy to wear and do not require accessories as they are enough on their own. White and light colored lace dresses from summer don't need to be put away just because it's fall! By adding a few extra pieces such as a leather jacket and boots can take a summer lace dress and make it wearable for the colder weather. As you can see below even celebrities such as Pippa Middleton and Whitney Port have been spotted wearing this trend.
A fun easy trend for Fall 2012 is embellishments. Embellishments have been seen all over bags, shoes, jackets, dresses, and more. They can give a boring garment an edgy touch. It's so easy to add to your wardrobe. There is no wrong way to wear embellishments. Specifically with sequins, beading, and studs, embellishment is a Fall 2012 must! Fashion Snoops shows beaded and embellished materials are a luxe trend for fall and winter seasons.
I also loved this collection of embellished pieces shown on style.com. It shows how taking a simple fall piece in a nude color, and adding a touch of sequins and studs can make a garment stand out.
