Metallics

By Chloë Eve - November 16, 2012

Skinny Jeans ASOS / Nail Polish Essie / Wedges DVF / Clutch BCBG / Flats Kate Spade / Dress MINKPink

Lately I've been loving metallics. When worn either as a statement piece or an accessory they can really make an outfit pop. Metallics are a really easy adaptable trend. You can start with a basic accessory for an understated feel, or go all out in a metallic dress or pants. I'm really loving the Kate Spade cap toe flats and DVF wedges.

Which pieces are your favorites??

Fall Layering

By Chloë Eve - November 09, 2012

Black Tank - Topshop

Chambray Shirt - Madewell

Open Sweater - All Saints

Leopard Scarf - Alice + Olivia

I'm one of those people who is always cold, even in the summer. So when the temperature starts to drop, I am always looking for ways to stay warm without feeling bulky. Layering multiple pieces is the best way to still look chic but remain warm. There are so many different ways to layer items from vests, t-shirts, and long-sleeve shirts, to sweaters, cardigans, jackets, and more. I decided to create a simple layering outfit that anyone can wear. My key pieces include a fitted tank, some type of long-sleeve blouse, and a sweater or cardigan that can all be layered under a coat or jacket for really cold days. For this layering outfit, I went with a basic black tank, a button up chambray shirt an open sweater, and then topped it off with a cozy leopard scarf to add a pattern and extra warmth layer.

Combat Boots

By Chloë Eve - November 07, 2012

Fall is when boots start to appear on the streets. I'm a big fan of over the knee boots, and I'm definitely in need of a change from all my high boots. Lately my eye has been on combat style boots. I love the laced up relaxed style that has a raw and casual appearance. These boots will look amazing with skinny jeans and a chunky knit sweater. They can also be worn relaxed by not being laced up all the way. For a more edgy look, go for a pair that has studs or other embellishments on them. My favorite ones (with a star next to them) are the Steve Madden brown boots with gold stud embellishments, and the black laced up ModCloth boots with buckles in the back.

Being stuck at home for days from hurricane Sandy is slightly boring, however having a few days off from school and my midterm exams was nice. I decided I would put together a little post of some of my hurricane essentials. Having a good book, lots of magazines, hot chocolate, and a cozy throw are a few of my favorites things to have while waiting out a storm. What are some of your hurricane essentials?

Leather For Fall

By Chloë Eve - October 21, 2012

The other week I posted about leather panel leggings, and now its got me on a whole leather kick. When I think of leather, I think of edgy and hard core pieces. Adding leather to an outfit can provide that tough look, however a leather dress doesn't have to give off that vibe. Depending how you style your leather dress, you can create a polished look or have that edgy feel by including elements with chains, spikes or high heels. Leather dresses are an exciting and new way to wear leather in the fall. I love a basic leather jacket, but a leather dress is definitely unexpected. I personally like when the dress is the main focus and there aren't too many fussy accessories. I think this look is very elegant and chic. What do you think about wearing a leather dress this fall?

Home Office Decor

Prada Marfa Sign
Paper Tray
Table Lamp
Bird Paper Clips
Kate Spade 2013 Calendar
Voluspa Candle
Wall Letters
Paper Weight
Pencil Cup
Picture Frame
Desk Chair
Colorful Files
Desk

I love the idea of a chic home office that is mostly white with a few colored accents. I came across these home offices on Pinterest that are all focused on sophisticated, feminine, and modern style. Colorful files, fun paper clips, scented candles, wall art, and other personal touches gives these offices a sleek feel with a playful emphasis . White makes a space feel open no matter how small it is, which is why it's a good idea for large pieces such as a desk, chair, and lamp to be white. What are some decorative pieces you would want in your home office? I love the Kate Spade 2013 Calendar, wall letters, and Coco Chanel paper weight!

BomBom Jewerly

By Chloë Eve - October 08, 2012

Earrings c/o BomBom Jewerly

BomBom is a jewelry brand that has gorgeous fine and statement pieces ranging from earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. BomBom Jewelry was created to be a line of "chic jewelry that showcases dynamic, refreshing, and eye-catching deigns", which is exactly how I would describe their items. With prices ranging from $20 to $200, their beautiful designs are extremely affordable!

These gold floral long back earrings are the perfect mix of femininity and sophistication. I love how they are not your traditional stud earrings and have long backs that can be worn straight or curved. These earrings are light weight and are perfect for wearing every day or with a dressier outfit. They are an elegant way to wear jewelry in an understated way.

Fall Trend: Leather Panel Leggings

By Chloë Eve - September 28, 2012

If leggings were not in trend I'm not sure what I would do because when fall and winter rolls around, I always find myself in comfy leggings. They are so easy to pair with my chunky sweaters, high boots, lose fitting blouses, flats, crop jackets and everything in-between. I've been seeing leggings with leather patches worn all around my school, and I am in desperate need of a pair. They add a sleek look and an create an edgy feel to traditional leggings. These are definitely going on my fall/winter season must have list! What do you think about these leather panel leggings? My favorites are BCBG and ASOS. I love the block leather patches and the leather strip down the side.
