Spring starts next week, and although the weather might still be cold, I can't wait to begin shopping for spring apparel. One of my favorite colors to wear as the months get warmer are soft pastels. I am currently loving this collection by Alice and Olivia. With soft pastel colors, floral prints, and loose flowing dresses, and blouses, these items can easily fit into anyone's spring wardrobe. What do you think about these Alice and Olivia pastel items?

I don't know about anyone else, but I have definitely been craving warm weather and the beach. With my spring break a few weeks away, the DVF Loves Roxy collection couldn't have been launched at a better time. This limited edition collection completely represents DVF with bold prints and bright colors. The collection includes swim wear, cover ups, beach bags, and more, all at amazingly affordable prices. I will definitely be stocking up on this cute beach wear!
The collection will be released tomorrow, March 7th and can be purchased on Roxy's website, as well as Nordstrom and Bloomingdales.
I was so excited that it was strangely warm the other day so I had to throw on a dress! I love this dress from Francesca's Collection. The white collar, synched waist, and flowing bottom make it a casual LBD for everyday. I also like to wear it with a slim belt in a fun color. Since it was so warm, I was able to wear this military inspired faux leather jacket instead of one of my usual heavy coats. I added a bright pop of color with my red bag with large gold studs. I accessorized with gorgeous April M jewelry. The half moon necklace I wore is perfect for layering over sweaters, dresses, or any other top that has a higher collar. I really like how it is simple yet still makes a statement. My absolute favorite piece from April M is this adorable dainty anchor bracelet. This bracelet is so pretty and looks great worn alone or with multiple bracelets. If you haven't already, I definitely recommend checking out April M Jewelry. A few of my other favorites from April M are this, this, this and this.
Fashion week is in full swing and I'm so excited to be sharing a few of my favorite shows for the next few days. This past weekend was a crazy one dealing with a blizzard and being snowed in for two days. But, looking at all these beautiful fall 2013 collections has definitely make my snowy weekend much brighter.
When I think of Mara Hoffman, I think of fun and colorful swim and resort wear in vibrant prints. I wasn't sure what to expect from her Fall 2013 collection, however, it was right on target and definitely represented her signature style. Her fall/winter collection felt very cheerful with abstract prints, bold tones, and cozy knits. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from the collection. Below, I posted a video of her show so you can check out more of her amazing pieces!

1. Golden Edibles Chocolate Covered Strawberries $70
2. Stila Love Blush Palette $14
3. Dorothy Perkins Mini Heart Sweater $49
4. Amanda Catherine Designs Valentine's Day Print $15
Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays! It mostly has to do with all the red and pink hearts, flowers, and chocolates. Many people dread when February 14th rolls around, however, I think it should be a day to reflect on all the great things you love in your life. You don't need a special someone in order to celebrate. Whether you are celebrating with friends or family, it should be a fun day filled with lots of love, and of course chocolate! Here are four of my favorite Valentine's Day gift ideas for friends, family, or just yourself.
My absolute favorite is chocolate covered strawberries, because well, who doesn't love this amazing / semi-healthy desert? Next is the Stila Love blush palette. It comes in this cute packaging and has four shimmery shades that can either be blended together to make a natural looking color or worn separately. However you wear it, this palette will have your face looking beautifully radiant and will be perfect to wear on Valentine's Day to add a little color to your cheeks. My third pick was this Dorothy Perkins heart sweater. Sweaters with hearts on them are so adorable and sweet so I couldn't resist when I saw this one with a mini heart print. I like that instead of one large heart it has a playful pattern. My favorite part about this sweater is that one of the hearts is outlined with sequins. This adds a unique festive touch to the basic sweater. It is definitely a sweater that can be worn all winter long. The fourth item I choose was this "Give Me Candy Hearts And Kisses" poster print from the Etsy shop called Amanda Catherine Designs. She has so many beautiful prints that are all perfect for Valentine's Day. I'm also loving the ones here and here.
To make these four items even better, they are all under $100! No matter who you are purchasing these items for, you won't need to spent a fortune to get that perfect Valentine's Day treat.

Looking for a party dress alternative? These dressy shorts are a perfect substitute. Wearing a textured, embellished, or print short will make a huge unexpected statement. I really like that you don't need to wear a standard party dress for a night out. These shorts give you the flexibility to have fun and experiment with different outfits. I especially love them when paired with tights, which also make them wearable even in the winter. Pair yours with a loose fitting blouse, tights, ankle booties, a cute clutch, and fun jewelry for a effortlessly glam look.
7. J.Crew Pumps
Here are a few of my fashion must haves. These are classic items that will always be in style and are essentials for building a basic wardrobe. Not only are they all functional pieces that can be mixed and matched and worn in multiple ways, but they are pieces that can be kept in your wardrobe for many years. I would gladly welcome all of these items into my closet!
Jason Wu's extremely ladylike designs have always been way out of budget for many people. But now the designer is introducing a Miss Wu collection which is a contemporary, more affordable line that is exclusively available at Nordstrom! The 40 piece collection features beautiful soft and delicate prints, as well as textured A-line and shift dresses that have a mod feel. Striped tops and floral skirts with small details such as bows and sequins are also included. The collection retails from $195 to $795, which is a huge price drop compared to a Jason Wu collection item that averages around $1,700. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from the collection. Which are your favorite pieces?
