Sarah Hyland plays the character of Haley Dunphy on one of my favorite shows, Modern Family. I love her sense of style. It's very feminine and casual with a twist of glam. I like that she dresses her age and has fun with prints, color, and texture. Whether she is dressed up or wearing jeans, she always looks effortless and put together. Below I created an outfit based on Sarah Hyland's style that can be worn with ease. Her crisp white lace top, skinny jeans, and lace up booties are a great combination for an everyday casual cool look.
Lately I've been noticing floral pattern pants everywhere. These bottoms are definitely making a statement and becoming a flirty spring trend. Floral prints always remind me of spring and warmer weather. These pants are perfect to start dressing for spring without the warm weather. This is such an easy way to spice up any plain outfit with colorful flower patterns. I love these floral pattern pants when paired with a simple top and wedge heels. How would you wear this trend?

Last weekend, I decided to cut my hair and donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I have always had long hair, but decided to grow it out to donate it since my hair is very thick. Beautiful Lengths is a partnership between Pantene and the American Cancer Society. They are able to donate free, real hair wigs to women with cancer. I thought this was a great opportunity to help out. When it came time to actually cutting my hair, I started to have second thoughts. But in the end, I decided to go through with it, and cut off over 12 inches to donate. After I did the first cut, a lady at the salon came up to me and said what a great thing I was doing. She told me that she had breast cancer years before, and was able to wear a real-hair wig. This definitely made cutting my hair feel rewarding. It's always hard to cut off so much hair at once, but I'm glad I made this decision.
Here are a few of my favorite spring items!

This past weekend I purchased coral jeans, and I'm in love with the color for spring! Colored denim is a great way to get a head start on spring trends. I created this outfit as inspiration for adding color back into my wardrobe. I paired a light floral blouse with the coral denim as they compliment the jeans, and have a flirty pattern. Floral prints are another girly spring trend that I cant wait to shop for. Since the jeans and top are so bright, I decided to keep the jewelry simple, and only add a gold watch and stud earrings to complete the look. I love pairing fun colors together, and thought that this ASOS clutch was a perfect match with the coral jeans. The two colors work well together and are not competing for attention. I can't wait to wear my coral jeans. How will you style your colored denim for spring?
The Alice + Olivia RTW Fall 2012 was one collection that definitely stood out to me at this year's Fall 2012 Fashion Week. The designer showed a wide range of garments in neutral shades with a mix of bright colors and fun patterns. Stacey Bendet, the deisgner for Alice + Olivia, is known for designing playful, and flirty party dresses. I was very excited to see her take a step into glamorous evening wear, and adored all the sweet but sophisticated gowns. Sequins, fur, ruffles, and floral prints added extra detailing to the dresses. The neutral tone garments were eye catching against the colorful backdrop.

While doing some research for a class, I came across this delightful behind the scenes video for Nicole Miller Spring 2012 Collection for JCPenny. I just had to share this video as I can't wait for her Spring 2012 Collection to come out. Her designs are definitely making me excited for spring with bold bright patterns, bohemian style blouses, animal prints, vibrant colors, and more fun and playful items perfect for warm weather! I think it's great that Nicole Miller has taken her runway looks and transformed them into a more affordable collection for JC Penny customers. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the collection.
