With the freezing weather this winter, I find myself staying inside a lot more. However, on those occasions when I do need to leave the house, I always grab the same essential items to stay warm. I got this coat last winter from a local boutique. It was on major sale I just couldn't pass it up. If you live anywhere cold and don't have a shearling coat, I definitely recommend going to get one! This is one of the warmest coats I have ever owned. I'm someone who is always cold and never find myself shivering when wearing this coat. Another one of my essentials for snow are UGG boots. They aren't necessarily the nicest looking boot, however, they do keep your feet extremely warm. I also love how comfortable they are. I sometimes like to cuff my tall boots down as a fun way to wear them. Other warm items I love are chunky infinity scarves and cashmere lined gloves, like the ones I'm wearing.
During the winter months one of my favorite go to outfit is tights with a skirt or dress. I love how effortless it is to create an outfit from a few pieces, yet still being able to look like you spent time getting dressed and looking put together. I typically go for basic black tights, but I've recently been obsessed with the look of a sheer pattern tight, especially these heart ones above. I think they add a nice texture and are a fun way to add a pattern. These pattern tights are definitely unexpected. These are a must have item to look cute while its still cold out.

Dots have been seen on runways and in the streets as a fun print that I will definitely be wearing this spring. I love how dots can be played up with a high fashion edge but also feel youthful. As seen on the runway, dots create a modern, sophisticated, and chic appearance. There are so many ways to wear dots, as they come in sweaters, dresses, pants, and more! I really like mixing dots with other prints like floral, or paired with bright colors like a dot top with colored jeans.
I recently picked up these two pairs on major sale! I got the Walkerrr as I don't really have any pointy toe pumps. I'm not the biggest fan of pointy toe shoes, but I really liked these ones when I tried them on. They come in a few different colors. I went with the pewter metal color. I like that it has a black and metallic silver blend to it. I was really surprised how comfortable they were to walk in. They have a 3 1/2 inch heel with no platform, so I thought they wouldn't be that easy or comfortable to walk in and I was nicely surprised when I tried them on. The other pair I purchased was the Alexxia. I am obsessed with these shoes. I love how edgy they are with the cutouts and peep toe. I also really liked this, this, and this as they are all very similar. The chunky wooden heel is another reason I was drawn to these shoes. I can't wait for it to get warmer out so I can rock these with skinny jeans and dresses. Both these shoes were true to size.
