New Years Eve is just a few days away, and I cannot believe how fast 2011 went by! I created a fun New Years Eve outfit that is a little different from what you might usually wear. Instead of a little black dress or sequins, I thought a mini white dress would stand out more. Since the dress is so special, I kept all the accessories simple to not interfere. Hoop earrings and a cute cocktail ring are elegant, and add sparkle in a subtle way. I wanted to add some color to the outfit, which is why I thought Brian Atwood's hot pink pumps would be perfect!
I hope everyone is enjoying their last few days of 2011!
Having a "Go to Everyday Bag", in a great color is so important, because who wants to change bags every day to coordinate with each outfit? I know I don't! A neutral color, such as camel, is perfect for every day use. Camel works well with all colors, and creates a sophisticated and classic look. I have put together higher priced bags with similar bags that are priced more reasonably. What do you think?

Get ready for pastels! I'm currently loving Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, which captures two women in an ice cream parlour. I love the pastel pink and retro vibe, which makes the ad sweet and feminine. The ad was captured by Steven Meisel and includes Marc Jacobs' designs. The models are wearing ladylike dresses with lace, flowers, and other delicate embellishments, all perfect for spring!

I was so excited when I was asked to host a My Memories giveaway for their amazing digital scrapbooking software. My Memories has offered to give one lucky reader their own scrapbooking software! I'm not the best with computer photo programs, but I found this software to be incredibly easy to use. It has so many great features. I like that you can create an entire scrapbook or just a few individual pages. I had so much fun creating pages..
Not only will one lucky reader win the scrapbook software, but all my readers can enjoy $10 off their purchase on the My Memories site. This would make a great gift for the holidays!

With the holidays right around the corner, I created a simple outfit that can be worn to multiple occasions. I based this outfit around the Kendra Scott statement necklace, which I instantly fell in love with. It comes in so many pretty colors, and is a staple to any outfit. I paired the necklace with a basic blouse to make it stand out. You can never go wrong with warm tights, and a black bubble skirt, which are so easy to dress up. Sparkles are always fun, and this Vince Camuto clutch is perfect for the holiday season. This outfit is so easy to put together, and has eye catching pieces to make it pop.
Michael Kors is one of my favorite designers. When I saw his Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, I instantly fell in love with the fun animal prints, unique fringe texture, and pops of bright colors. I created this video lookbook for Michael Kors Safari themed collection. I incorporated videos, pictures, and interviews from Michael Kors about the collection. Let me know what you think!
With winter approaching, one of my favorite things to wear are big chunky sweaters. Refinery29 released their own sweater trend called, frowning sweaters. I love the curved hemline as well as the two pockets that make these sweaters come alive. These are cute sweaters that I can't wait to add to my winter wardrobe! Here are a few of my favorites.
Tsumori Chisato, Knit Pocket Cardigan - $404 |
Farfetch, Long Pocket Cardigan - $299 |
Etoile Isabel Marant, Mawani Sweater - $660 |
The luxury retailer Barneys, is teaming up with Lady Gaga for a holiday special called Gaga's Workshop. Barneys will create a Santa's workshop through Gaga's eyes. There will special edition Gaga themed products, as well as many of Lady Gaga's holiday favorites including, chocolate Christmas ornaments, Gaga snow globes, makeup, claw stockings, and more! I think this Gaga Workshop sounds really unique and amazing, but to make it even better, 25 percent of all sales will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation to help promote equality through anti-bullying, self confidence, mentoring, and career development for children. The Workshop will be released November 21st, but until then check out Barneys website here for updates on Gaga's Workshop! Each day a new item is released, I can't wait to see what crazy item will be next!

I recently came across this amazing video for Chanel's Nail Polish; Le Vernis, featuring new shades Dragon, Black Pearl, Inattendu, Particuliere, and Orange Frizz. I love all of Chanel's nail polishes, especial their fall shades. Chanel, in the past, has made creative videos to show their new products. This is such unique, and cute video with all the dancing fingers! What a great idea to preview new nail polish colors. I want to go buy them all! Check out the video and let me know what you think...
A few weeks ago, the Versace for H&M lookbook was published for the soon release date, later this month. Versace is known for bright colors, exotic prints, and crazy details. This collaboration with H&M is no different, with studded dresses, colorful floral patters, and leather jackets. I came across this lookbook on Fashionologie.com, which shows many items from her woman's and men's collections, in an easy to view layout. Another view at the collection can be found at H&M's website. This is such a creative way to view the collection before it reaches stores.
I love all the fun colors and embellishments! I can't wait to shop the collection.
What do you think of Versace's collection for H&M?
All year long designers have trunk shows to sell and show off their new merchandise for customers, buyers, magazine editors, and more. Designers will be able to get feedback directly from their consumers. Many trunk shows are held in a fun and entertaining environment with music, cool lighting, drinks, appetizers, and more. This Alexander McQueen video really shows what it is like to attend a fashion trunk show. Merchandise is displayed on shelves, racks, and even a small fashion runway is set up to model the new line for a small gathering of people. The show featured accessories from shoes to handbags, and many original unique dress designs.
Recently, designers have also been doing virtual trunk shows where you do not need a special invite to attend. Designers such as Donna Karan and Salvatore Ferragamo have started online trunk shows to show off their new collections. Virtual trunk shows provide special videos of each garment and a option to pre-order the merchandise before it's available to the public. Check out Salvatore Ferragamo trunk show or read more about Donna Karan’s trunk show for Neiman Marcus.
