I saw this picture the other day and fell in love with all the bright colors that work perfectly with one another. I'm always looking for ways to add color into my wardrobe, and this outfit definitely stands out! Wearing one vibrant color with another can be tricky, but when they are all in matching shades, you can coordinate multiple colors in one outfit. This pastel outfit is ideal for a nice spring day full of running errands, meetings friends, going out to lunch, etc. What do you think of combining multiple colors together?

I'm a huge earring fan, but wearing long dangling earrings aren't always functional or comfortable to wear all day. Earrings are a pretty way to dress up your look and draw attention to your face. I love ladylike earrings, especially in the form of studs. Stud earrings are the perfect touch for a special occasion such as weddings, graduations, birthday celebrations, and more! These earrings are extremely feminine with sparkles, bright colors, and pretty shapes. To make things even better, they are all under $50! I'm craving the Marc Jacobs daisy studs. Which one do you love?
Cc Skye Mercy Spike Bracelet - $162
ASOS Stretch Bracelet - $13.92
Also Loving Spike Bags:
Deux Lux 'Empire' Faux Leather Clutch - $102
Deux Lux 'Empire' Hobo - $172
I love to wear fun bracelets that can be stacked with others. I have been noticing spike bracelets everywhere, and they are just the perfect addition to create a summer army party look. They are thin enough to be worn with your other jewelry, but can also stand out on their own. I found these almost identical bracelets; one from ASOS and the other from Cc Skye. By adding some spikes to your army party, you can create an edgy, rocker chic, and unique look. Pair these spikes with a watch, wrap bracelets, bangles, and any other type of bracelet you may own!

With summer finally in full swing, I am so excited to put away all scarves and jumpers for my happier, sunnier wardrobe.
Now that all of us are fishing out our swimsuits and sundresses from the very back of our chest of drawers, I thought it would be a nice refresher to take a look at some of the best trends for the summer and how we can sprinkle them throughout our already fabulous wardrobes.
Crop Tops: The day that the fashion gods decided that we didn't need the lower half of our blouses was the day I rejoiced and started rifling through my closet. Being an early adopter can be hard sometimes. My friends still make fun of me for how many bare-midriff ensembs I sport, and heaven knows what the old ladies at the grocery store must be thinking about my belly-button, but no matter. It's summer, it's hot, and as my wonderful Southern mother would say "there ain't no shame in sporting what the good Lord gave you."
Mustard: This is another one of my personal favorites. I love all things mustard and I'm so glad the fashion world loves them too. Since color blocking is still in full force, mustard is the hue that somehow perfectly clashes with everything.
Crazy Person Prints: I'm still catching onto this one but from what I gather the more you look like you're wearing a 1970's couch from a discount furniture store, the better. Pair everything off with some jewelry that can also function as weaponry and you'll be all set!
Flapper Revolution: The 1920's completely dominated this year's runways and I couldn't be happier about it.
Feathers
Tassels
Opera Length Pearls
Strappy Mary Jane Pumps
And finally, dresses with silhouettes that flatter those of us rocking an A cup (am i rite?)
A friend on mine was pontificating yesterday about how fashion trends like the flapper just seem to appear out of thin air. I couldn't disagree more. I think this rising trend that pays homage to the opulence of the roaring twenties is exactly what the fashion world needs. The 1920's was a time of prosperity and growth, something we've all been missing for a while. But most of all, the twenties were the first time women stepped out as independent, stylish, rebellious individuals who wore baggy, revealing dresses, cut their hair off, and proved they could decide things for themselves.
And I think that's something worth celebrating.
During the hot summer days you want to dress cool, but still look chic. These short shorts are a great option! I'm loving vibrant colors, fresh stripes, fun animal prints, florals, and feminine textures. These shorts are perfect to wear during the day, or even dressed up for warm nights. Make a statement with these notice me shorts.
Maxi dresses are my spring and summer must have item! These dresses are super comfy, easy to wear, and incredibly flattering. Full length dresses don't only have to be considered for night, but can be casual for the day. I've been inspired by pastel colors, patterns, stripes, and florals. Take your casual maxi dress to the next level by adding accessories that stand out. Try wearing a colorful light weight scarf, statement necklace, flat sandals, bold bangles, woven belt, or a chic headband. Below are a few great options for casual day maxi dresses!

When I saw this dress on TopShop I instantly fell in love with the high low hemline, and gathered waist. This is a perfect dress for spring and can easily be taken from day to night with a few simple changes. For the day, I paired neutral colored sunglasses, lip balm, a gold ring, and brown flat sandals for an effortless look. To transform this dress to a glam night look, I added a black statement necklace, coral lipstick, a sequin clutch, and nude pumps. This chiffon dress is so versatile that it can be worn with so many different accessories such as a belt, floppy hat, statement earrings, or a slouchy bag. When you have a dress like this, there is no need to change your outfit. Just by changing you accessories; adding a few sequins and color, you can completely change your look.

Skinny belts are such an easy way to quickly add a pop of color. I came across my belt at Target the other day, and I had to get it! I love the bright color mixed with a snake skin texture. It was the perfect way to brighten up my outfit and create a statement. Skinny belts are a perfect accessory for this spring and can be worn in so many different ways. Try pairing one with a dress or a skirt for an effortless look. Below are a few classic and feminine colored belts. How do you style your skinny belt?
I have naturally wavy hair, and I always put my hair in a braid at night for perfect waves the next day. I love to wear braids, however, braids during the day they have always made me feel like a little girl in braided pigtails. I came across different hair braid inspirations on Pinterest that made me think that braids can be worn during the day without giving off a childish look. Braids give your hair an effortless and clean look with lots of texture. Here are a few sweet and elegant braided hair styles I adore. I am definitely going to have to try a few of these! What is your go to braided hair style?
Here is a really pretty and simple braid, from Lauren Conrad on TheBeautyDepartment.com
I have been searching for the perfect statement necklace for awhile. It's that one accessory that can complete an outfit no matter how simple it is. You can wear one with a bright color to add a bold statement, or a neutral color to add extra detailing to your outfit. Either way, a statement necklace is a playful accessory that can be worn with a cute summer dress or a vibrant colored blouse. What statement necklaces are you currently loving? Is this something you will be wearing this summer? I would love to hear your thoughts. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Today not only happens the be the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo, but also my dad and sister's birthdays! Last year, my mom took me and my sister to the Kentucky Derby, which was an experience I will never forget. Getting dressed up, wearing a big hat, drinking mint juleps, and betting on the races was so much fun. I even made some money! As soon as we entered Kentucky we were showered with race excitement right from the airport. My trip not only included the Derby, but visits to the Louisville Slugger, Muhammad Ali Center, and lots of Hat Shopping! Here are some pictures from my trip...
