I've been wanting a Rebecca Minkoff cross-body bag for awhile, and I was so excited when my boyfriend surprised me with this quilted one last week! It definitely resembles the more expensive Chanel quilted bag, just without the high price tag. I love how feminine these bags are with the gold chain wrapped with black leather. I also really like that they can be worn double strapped as a regular handbag and can also convert into a longer cross-body bag as well. These padded leather bags finish your outfit with an effortless glam feel, yet are still sophisticated. They are perfect for dressing up at night but also great to use during the day.

Winter is officially here, meaning its time for layering! Living on the east coast you definitely have to be bundled up in order to stay warm. I have a few key items that I always pull out on really cold days including my micro-suede leggings (I own the pair above), one of my faux fur vests, thick knit sweaters, beanie hats, leather gloves, cashmere scarves, and wool coats. You can keep warm in the winter while still looking chic with colorful thick sweaters, warm textures such as leather, suede, and faux fur, as well as prints that pop like plaid and leopard.
With December in full effect, it is definitely time for holiday festivities! This Studio gear Holiday Smokey Eye palette is perfect for creating a fun holiday smokey eye. The palette comes with four eye-shadow colors; Frost, Coal, Platinum, and Glimmer. It also comes with a pretty rosy blush color called Snowy Glow. To create my look, I used all four of the shadows. I started with lightly dusting Frost all over my eyelid. Next I placed Coal into the crease of my eyelid and created a V shape in the outside corner of my eye. I then put a small amount of Platinum in in the center of my eyelid. Last I took Glimmer and put a small amount on top of the coal shade in my eyelid crease. To complete the smokey eye, instead of using eyeliner, I took an angled eyeliner brush and used the coal shade underneath my lower lashes and on top of my upper lash line. Finally I added blush to my cheeks to complete my look.
I don't usually wear a lot of eye-shadow, so I kept this a simple light smokey eye that can still be daytime appropriate. I really liked this palette with the neutral and slightly glittery shadows that make your eyes sparkle.
If you want to give this Holiday Palette a try It's currently on sale for $25 (originally $40). I also have a 10% of discount code for you to use off your entire purchase at Studio Gear Cosmetics!

One of my favorite things to wear this time of year are oversize sweaters. I love how comfy they are, but that they are still appropriate to wear out during the day. These are a few of my current favorite sweater styles. I have recently been drawn to grey and burgundy colored sweaters. They are great neutral fall colors that can go so well with many different bottoms such as a dark wash jean, leggings, or even a skater skirt. I also like the pattern and sweaters with cute little sayings. My favorite is the DVF "love is life" sweater.
I've been seeing quilted items pop up everywhere this fall. From handbags, to shoes and sweaters they are becoming a popular texture on fashion items. Quilted materials add a fun texture to items that will really make them standout. The quilted look always reminds me of the Chanel quilted bags that I frequently dream about. Unfortunately those bags aren't in most people's price range, however, you can still get that quilted look for a much cheaper price with the Rebecca Minkoff look-alike. I don't really wear sweatshirts too much unless I'm lounging around the house, but this ASOS one looks so comfy and gives a casual chic look. I'm also loving the Mango leather jacket. I really like the small quilted detailing on the shoulders that adds some texture to the jacket but isn't overwhelming with an allover quilted pattern. What do you think about the quilted trend?
Smashbox Camera Redy BB Cream, Benefit Watt's up! Highligher, GloMinerals Mascara, Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, BA STAR Lip Pencil, Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner
While I love a natural look, a bright lip is always fun. This lip color by BA STAR is called Holiday Red, which I think is a perfect name for this color. I've recently been wearing lip colors more frequently and this is one of my favorite red colors especially for the holidays. I love the full coverage this lip pencil gives, the matte smooth texture, and that it stays in place all day! I definitely feel very glamorous when wearing Holiday Red. Because of the bright lip color, I wanted to keep the rest of my look very simple. I used a light weight BB Cream by Smashbox and then added some color to my face with the Hoola bronzer by Benefit. I also put a thin line of eyeliner on the top of my eyes to open them up and then added a few coats of mascara. By keeping the rest of my makeup basic, my lip color was really able to stand out. I will definitely be wearing this color a lot during the next few months.
BA STAR has so many fun makeup products that aren't just for cheerleaders, dancers, or other competitors. They have amazing products for everyone to wear, that are especially great during the holiday months. I love all the glitter eye shadows and eyeliners. They also have great blush, bronzers, mascara, and of course lip pencils. BA STAR makeup allows for creativity, so have fun and experiment with their bold colors and glitter. The company has extremely affordable high quality makeup. They also have makeup tutorials which you can watch here!

I can not tell you how excited I am about my new NastyGal x Jeffrey Campbell booties! I've been eyeing them for a few weeks, and finally decided to order them during NastyGal's sale last week. I love a heeled ankle boot for the fall. The chunky wood heel on these give me height but still feel appropriate for a casual day look. The leather is slightly distressed but is still a dark black which is what I've been looking for. I also really like the strap detail on the side with the gold hardware. I have so many outfit ideas that I can't wait to wear these with. They will look perfect with tights and a dress or skinnies and a loose tee. I also love them in this color!
Happy Halloween from my doggie Layla.
I found these cute fairy wings and I just had to get them for her. I thought she looked so cute. Hope everyone has a fun day! :)
{Bracelet Chain: Francescas Collection}
I recently have been coveting these finger bracelet chains. I love how delicate and elegant they look. I picked this one up from Francescas Collection the other day, and I've been wearing it ever since. I definitely feel this is a must have jewelry item. Below are some of my other favorites that I am also considering buying. These chains by Jacquie Aiche are so perfect in every way. Some are more simple than others, but they are beautiful pieces that can be worn everyday. I am also craving this double finger chain ring.
I absolutely love Olivia Palermo's style. I think she always looks so classic, chic, and put together. Her looks feel effortless and can be easily recreated. I picked this outfit because it looks super cozy and warm, which is great for this time of year, but manages to still look fashionable. I love how she mixed textures and patterns. The knit sweater and leopard print skirt is an unexpected combination, but work really well together. Adding chunky ankle boots like these Jeffrey Campbell ones, which give little edginess to the very feminine outfit. A fun skirt and tights are always my go to for fall. I will definitely be recreating this look. What do you think of this outfit?

I always get excited for fall weather to wear comfy sweaters, high boots, cozy scarfs, and moto jackets. This seasons color trends include rich tones and soft base colors. Normally in the fall I begin to switch towards darker neutral colors. However, this season I am definitely ready to try some brighter and richer tones such as cranberry, orchid, ice blue, and lilac. Some of these color trends for this season may feel slightly springy, but when worn in knits and thicker fabrics they are fall appropriate. What are some of your favorite colors for this season?

Yesterday was one of the first mornings where I actually needed to wear a sweater! I absolutely love big chunky knit sweaters in the fall. They are one of my favorite things to wear for the cozy factor, but still being able to throw it on with jeans or a skirt and still look chic! I love the idea of wearing a large comfy sweater with a feminine skirt. A combination of neutral whites, off whites, gray, and pale pink is so simple and one of my favorite combos this season.

I've recently been really drawn to ankle boots in this tan camel color. I normally would go for a basic black boots as I feel I would get more use out of it. However, these neutral colored boots are just as versatile. I love the slight heel on these boots, which is great for adding some height and creating a dressier but yet still casual look. These boots would look great when paired with a pair of skinny jeans or even with a skirt or dress with tights. An ankle boot is great for this time of year when we are transitioning from summer into colder weather. I'm definitely not ready to bring out my tall or over the knee boots, but these are great way to wear boots for everyday even if the weather is a little warmer than usual for this time of year.

Blazers are a great piece to throw over your top to create a more put together look. I wore my favorite mint colored blazer in a more relaxed and casual way. I paired it with jean shorts and a basic tank to keep it from looking too professional. This is a great way to wear your blazer during the day without feeling over dressed. As soon as I saw this mint color I knew I had to buy this blazer. I think it's really pretty for the spring and summer, but can also be great in the colder months to add some color to a darker or all black outfit. Below you can shop some other great mint blazers!

I always thought it would be pretty to have a lace detail showing through ripped jeans. I purchased these Rock & Republic Jeans that already had rips in them and were a perfect size to place lace under. For this extremely easy DIY, you will need a pair of already ripped jeans, thread, lace fabric, and a sewing machine. I measured my fabric to make sure that it was larger than the rip so there would be room to sew around it. You want to pick a thread that is close in color with your denim. Turn your jeans inside out and place the fabric where you want it, and sew it in place. I sewed my fabric about one inch from the rip on each side. I love how these lace jeans turned out. I think it adds a pretty and unique detail to your jeans.

Hey everyone! I can't believe we are already in the last week of September. I'm sorry for the lack of posts this past month. I have been so busy and my laptop hasn't been working properly. This month definitely just flew by. Anyways, I took these pictures back in August on my trip to Florida. I love the ease and comfort of a maxi dress. A casual maxi dress that can be worn during the day is one of my favorite summer essentials. Although summer is over, a great way to continue to wear your maxi dresses into the fall is by adding a fun chunky knit sweater over it.
In this outfit I was definitely inspired by a 70's vibe with my braided headband and denim vest. This is definitely one of my go to looks for the summer, a maxi dress paired with a denim vest. It creates a cool, relaxed look which I love.

Cover Up Elif for Jordan Taylor, Bag Victoria's Secret, Sandals Rampage, Sunglasses gift from my dad (similar here and here), Bike Target
When I was in Florida I had so much fun riding my Aunt's bike to the pool. The front basket and bell reminded me of my bike when I was little. If you haven't heard of Jordan Taylor, I definitely suggest you go and check out their collections. They have so many amazing pool and beach cover ups in fun colors and patters. I love how they feel more like a dress than something you just threw on over your bathing suit. Unfortunately, the one I have is no longer available, but this one here is really similar to mine, except that mine has a ribbon which can be tied to make it more fitted. My Victoria's Secret Pink bag was perfect for my trip to Florida as it took up no space in my suit case and I was able to use it to carry everything I needed for the pool.

My recent post on rompers really inspired me to wear one. I have always been skeptical to wear rompers because of the attached shorts, which can sometimes not fit or look right. However, finding one that fits your body perfectly, where the shorts don't ride up or are too low is key. I love the bird print design on this romper. I kept everything else very simple to not distract from the print. I added a belt to help break up the top and bottom. I used a skinny belt, although a thicker belt would also work great!
