Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I love all the colorful leaves, cozy cardigans, lighting candles, warm blankets, hot chocolate, wearing scarves, candy corn, etc. The list can go on! Fall is now in full swing with the end of October approaching, so today I thought I would share some of my favorite fall time activities. Growing up I always remember my family going apple picking and taking a hayride to a pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkins to carve. For some reason I just have this obsession for pumpkins. I don't know if its the bright orange color, carving fun creations, baking pumpkin snacks, or just the fact that pumpkins symbolize fall, but for some reason I just can't get enough of them (you can check out my recent DIY for decorative mini pumpkins here). Apple picking is also fun to go back home with all your freshly picked apples and bake an apple-pie or my favorite snack, caramel apples. Other activities include corn mazes, going hiking or biking through a park, and stopping at a local farmers stand or market to pick up fall vegetables and fruit. Lastly, I love a relaxing nigh at home to cuddle on the couch with my doggies with a ton of warm blankets, candles, popcorn, and hot chocolate, to watch movies. What are some of your favorite fall activities?
Plaid Scarf South Moon Under, Sweater Free People, Jeans Hudson, Booties Target (old), Bag Michael Kors, Sunglasses Marc Jacobs, Bracelet LF, Nail Polish Butter London
If you can't tell by now, I may have a slight obsession with plaid (last seen in my posts here and here). I love big blanket scarves like this one. It's just so cozy and perfect for fall weather. The scarf has a nice mix of red, green, and tan colors that worked perfectly with this Free People sweater. These wide leg Hudson Jeans are also a must have item! Hudson makes the best wide leg jeans where they are fitted through the leg and then flare out just at the bottom. This creates such as flattering shape especially when paired with some wedges. Wide leg jeans create the appearance of longer legs, which is something I love since I'm only 5'2. On a side note - if you are thinking about purchasing a pair of Hudson's I would really recommend going down as size as they stretch out like crazy!

Sweater Free People, Jean Hudson, Booties Forever21 (old), Hat David & Young (similar), Bag Michael Kors, Arrow Necklace House of Harlow, Initial Pendant Nashelle
Some of my favorite pieces to wear in the fall are chunky knit sweaters, booties, and of course a floppy hat. Something about wearing a hat makes me feel so chic, and fall appropriate. I love the rust color of this hat as well as the little bow detail. Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact one, as I purchased it last fall, but this one is very similar. I'm also thinking of purchasing this one from Anthropologie. I love the gold band detail.
This Free People sweater was on major sale so I just had to get it. It also comes in a white color. Sweaters like this can definitely feel oversized but they are just so cozy I don't mind the added bulk. They are so easy to throw on with your favorite pair or jeans or leggings, a pair of boots and a floppy hat, like I did above. All these together create a perfect fall outfit with just four simple pieces. I wore this outfit a few weekends ago while hanging with my dog Layla.

Here is an easy DIY to create mini decorative pumpkins. This can also be done
with larger ones. I just decided to use two mini ones.
What you will need:
- mini pumpkins
- gold spray paint
- masking tape
- paint brush
- gold paint
-gold studs
-black glitter (optional)
Fist tape off the top half of both pumpkins
Use the spray paint to cover one of the pumpkins making sure to only paint the top half.
You may need to use a few coats of this in order to achieve desired color.
Use the gold paint to paint the top of the other pumpkin for a softer look.
Paint a few coats until you are happy with the color waiting a couple of minutes between
for each layer to dry. I only did 2 coats to leave it sightly transparent so you can still
see the orange of the pumpkin.
I decided to add some glitter to this pumpkin since the paint was sheer.
Before the last layer of paint dries sprinkle the glitter on top. I kept most of the
glitter towards the center of the top.
Shake off any excess glitter, and let the rest of the paint dry.
Once it was dry, I then used some hairspray to set the glitter so it wouldn't come off.
When both pumpkins have fully dried, take your studs and gently push them into the
pumpkin wherever you want. I placed them around the pumpkin along the paint line.
This is such a simple affordable DIY that any one can do. I picked up these mini pumpkins for $1 each! I love to use pumpkins as decoration during the fall and these mini ones were the perfect size. I placed mine on my coffee table with some other fall decorations.

Plaid has always been a comforting pattern as it reminds me of fall and colder weather. I typically wear plaid button down shirts since there are multiple ways to style them. It can be worn closed as a button up, left open with a a basic tee under, or even tied around your waist (as seen in my last post here). I've also recently been obsessing over plaid scarves. I love the one above from Target and it's only $17! I just love how cozy they look. Plaid is so easy to incorporate into your fall wardrobe especially that it can be found on all types of apparel and accessories and comes in so many different colors. The pattern is eye-catching, but remains simple and timeless. How do you plan on wearing plaid this fall?

A few weeks ago my dad took me, my sister, and our doggies through the Amish country. We visited local shops, stopped at some farms for fresh fruit and vegetables, and drove through miles and miles of corn fields. It was so much fun exploring and seeing all the farms and horse buggies.
One of my favorite ways to transition into fall is by adding a flannel shirt to an outfit. I love how it creates a laid-back carefree vibe, and that it's also multifunction. It looks cute when tied around your waist. When it gets colder at night, you can just throw it on and you are instantly warmer.
My Boyfriends mom is so creative and just recently opened her own Zazzle shop called The Big Doodle. All of her designs are colorful, fun, and even pet friendly. Her shop includes pillows, mugs, clothes, pet items, lamps, clocks, watches, coasters, trays, phone cases, bags, and more! Below are some of my favorites from her shop. The best part is that all these items can be customized. You have the ability to select what pillow size, what color shirt you want, bag shape and size, etc. It allows for you to select a design and then further personalize it which is an aspect that I love. I would definitely recommend checking out The Big Doodle for more unique, vibrant, and inspiring products.

Last month I headed to the beach with family for my birthday weekend. I could just sit at the beach all day listening to the waves, playing in the sand with my feet, and breathing in the ocean air. When I go to the beach I will usually throw on a beach coverup, a dress or shorts and a cute top. I like to keep my outfit pretty simple since I won't be wearing it much but to walk to and from the beach. I purchased this top back in June and have been obsessed with it ever since. Not only does it have a fun saying on the front (which was perfect for the beach), the back is open with a twisted detail that is my favorite part of the top. It works so well over a bathing suit or can be worn with a bralett or bandeau.

Exuviance Performance Peel AP25
I've recently been trying out the Exuviance Performance Peel AP25, and I have already noticed a huge difference in my skin. NeoStrata's Exuviance skin care line is proven to reduce lines and wrinkles, increase firmness, smooth texture, and even skin tone with a "patented bionic blend of highly evolved Polyhydroxy and Alpha Hydroxy acids." Although, I am still not in need of many of the benefits of the Exuciance chemical peel, I am always willing to try new products that will protect my skin from premature aging.
I am a huge fan of getting facials as they make you skin feel amazing afterwards, however, chemical peels are something I have been afraid to try as they can be harsher on the skin. The Performance Peel definitely takes away all my fear as it is safe and easy to use and wont irritate skin. This peel contains a 25% blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Polyhydroxy Acids including Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Gluconolactone. It will help exfoliate dead dull surface layers, and also stimulates the process of cell renewal for healthier skin cells. This peel is gentle enough to use up to twice a week.
Step 1. Apply a Step 1 Activator Pad over the entire face, avoiding eye area, lips and any area of sensitivity. Then discard pad. Carefully monitor the skin’s response to the Peel by observing any redness or discomfort, including stinging, burning, itching, tightness, tingling and peeling.
Step 2. Apply a Step 2 Neutralizer Pad to the face after 10 minutes, or sooner if you experience bothersome redness or discomfort. Apply over entire face (avoiding eyes and lips), and then rinse the face thoroughly with water.
Follow with a moisturizer such as Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex
How To Use:

After using this product my skin has been much softer, brighter, and even helped with my dryness. When I applied the Activator Pad, I felt a tingling feeling after a few minutes. I then applied the Neutralizer Pad and rinsed by face with warm water. I then patted dry my face and applied the Evening Restorative Complex moisturizer. This is a really nice thick cream that absorbed quickly into my skin leaving it refreshed and not dry.
